A family celebration for alternative parents and their kids

Punk Rock Playdate is a high-energy family event for parents who grew up on punk, emo, rock and alternative music - and the kids they’re raising now.

It’s not a kids' party.

A space where little punks can get creative, play and recharge. Featuring:

• Dear Maria Colour Me In Creative Corner - colouring stations, mixtape art, stickers and playdough
• I Know You Wanna Hit That (Target) - skill games, giant Twister and neon hula hoops
• Thanks Fort the Memories - build, decorate and hang out in your own punk rock fort
• Come Out and (Soft Play) - mini; play tents, tunnels, ball pits and scuttlebug trikes for younger children

Your Teenage Soundtrack

• Our resident DJ Dyno Pyro will be spinning a brand new set crammed full of pop-punk, rock & alternative anthems
• Anthems from Green Day, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, The Offspring, Sum 41, Paramore, Linkin Park, Weezer and more!

FAQ

What age children is this for? The experience is especially geared toward children 0–12 but 13-15 year old's are welcome with a teen ticket. Unfortunately due to venue restrictions 16 and 17 year old's aren't permitted at this event.

Does my baby need a ticket? Yes, infants require a ticket. Children under 18 months on the day of the event can attend for a reduced fee.

Is this an indoor event? Yes, it’s at The Forum, University of Hertfordshire, College Ln, Hatfield, AL10 9AB

Is there buggy parking, baby changing facilities and baby food? All our venues offer a complimentary buggy park for your convenience, along with a dedicated baby change area. While drinks and bar snacks will be available at the venue, please note that we do not provide baby food and we encourage you to bring any purees or formula that your little one may require.

Will the music be too loud for my baby / child? We keep the music at safe levels for little ears. It'll be loud enough to dance, but well within recommended limits. That said, if you’re concerned, you’re very welcome to bring your own ear defenders. We also have a small number available to rent on the day at cost price (we don’t make a profit on these).

What's the minimum age? There is no minimum age requirement (zero +).

Will it be dark? What lighting do you use? We create an immersive atmosphere by utilizing club lighting. Please also be aware that strobe lighting may also be employed during our events. To ensure your comfort and safety, we request that you allow a few minutes for your eyes to adjust to the lighting environment upon entering. Additionally, we ask parents to kindly remind their children not to run ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.

Terms of Attendance

-All adult attendees will need to bring a valid passport or driving license to enter. This helps us create a safe environment for everyone and ensures we comply with the venue’s licensing requirements. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to admit anyone without ID, and tickets cannot be refunded in these cases. Screenshots / photocopies cannot be accepted.

- Please note that adults are solely responsible for the supervision and well-being of their children throughout the duration of the event. We prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, and it is essential for parents and guardians to actively watch over their children at all times. By attending the event, adults acknowledge and accept this responsibility to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

- Adult only groups are not permitted.

- A ratio of no more than 4 adults : 1 child in each group is permitted for entry.

- A ratio of no more than three children per adult in a group is permitted for entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry if there is inadequate supervision, and those not adequately supervising children may be asked to leave.

- Alcohol will be on sale at the event and the venue operates a challenge 25 policy.

-If you are seen with alcohol or drugs on your way to or in the queue for the event or show any signs of alcohol abuse, you will be refused entry without a refund for the event.

- Doors will close 30 mins before the event ends and guests must arrive before then to gain entry. We operate a no re-entry policy.

-Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be resold under any circumstances.

-We may photograph or film parts of the event. Attendance gives permission for use in promotional material.
